SQUASHING their competition three Muswellbrook junior squash players have been selected in the Greenshield Hunter/Central Coast Junior Squash team.
Jordan Wallace, and brothers Corey and Beau Harris were recently selected as one of four in their age divisions to play at the State Teams Championships in Sydney this weekend.
The three players have been attending tournaments every six weeks, playing against their opponents from a squad for each age division.
Sixteen-year-old Jordan will be playing her tenth year in a row in the under 17s team as number two.
Corey, seven-years-old, and Beau, 10-years-old, will both be playing in the under 11 team.
Being Beau’s second year in the team he is playing at number one, a huge jump from his number four position last year.
Beginner to the game, Corey only started playing in the local competition this year and is playing at number four in the Greenshield team.
Both boys play in the local adult B grade competition at Muswellbrook Squash Club and Jordan competes in the A grade division and has being playing squash for 12 years.
Teams from Canberra, Sydney and the Western division will be battling out the state championships providing healthy competition for the Muswellbrook players.
“The Greenshield is a good thing because the kids have made friends from all over, it’s great for meeting new people,” mother Tina Harris said.
